I have had quite the leave of absence from TSC, but rest assured – I have not been out of the loop. Some thoughts I’ve had as of late:
Nobody likes to watch “Pathetic” Shawn Michaels. Nobody. Bring back HBKizzle.
Randy Orton has fantastic music. Darrell will despise me for saying so, but I liked “Hey” – and I like his latest – “Voices” by Rev Theory. (doing his best DX impersonation) WWE The Music Volume 9 available January 27th on WWEshop.com!
Kennedy is a fantastic heel. As a face, he is quite annoying – but I have the feeling he wins the kids over quite easily, following in the footsteps of John Cena.
Maryse is hot.
Alicia Fox is hotter. That brings me to DJ Gabriel – the best thing to happen to ECW in recent weeks. He has a mastery of the Hammer Dance unseen in quite some time.
That isn’t to say ECW is otherwise lacking talent. Jack Swagger aka “The All-American American” and Ricky Ortiz will be big name stars within a couple of years. Mark my words.
“The Wrestler”, starring Mickey Rourke, is a must see movie. I got my hands on a copy last week and I was very impressed. Darren Aronofsky has done a fantastic job in capturing bits and pieces of our favorite wrestlers’ lives, and has given us a way to truly understand their mentality. It’s much more than just a movie about professional wrestling, but it is good to see that the behind the scenes aspects are kept true to life.
More to come…
Jack Swagger = awesome name
Jack Swagger aka “The All-American American” = fucking unbelievably awesome name
Is his tag team partner “Joey Image?”
Agreed 100% re: Alicia Fox. Huge, huge fan. With her, Morrison, and the surprisingly watchable Jake Busey lookalike Jack Swagger, ECW has been bringing the high heat.
You’re still wrong about Orton’s music. I’ll only grant that it’s an improvement over “Hey”.
