Wrestlemania 37 is here, and, in the words of the Macho Man GIF, “you may not like it…but accept it”. WWE takes over the entire first week of April with all things WWE, but this time with crowds. And maybe some COVID, so please stay safe! If you are one of the absolute safe ones staying home, pull out your big ol’ Peacock and enjoy “The
Grandaddy of Them All”! NXT Stand & Deliver will do exactly that and deliver a great show, but Wrestlemania 37 has the potential to also have some great matches. Was the build for most of the biggest show of the year compelling? Not really, but we are hoping we can see past the lackluster storylines and enjoy the pro graps Mania has to offer.
It is the calm before the storm in WWE. While a lot of matches have been announced for WrestleMania, we can’t seem to wrap our heads around the card. Don’t get us wrong.. We are excited for at least a couple of matches, but there’s something that just isn’t sitting right with us… brother.
We’ll get into that, and a whole lot more. No matter what happens, there’s a lot happening in pro wrestling over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, this will be the final (mostly) virtual Mania week we’ll ever have to endure. We truly miss running amok in the host city with all of y’all!
Wednesday night is Women’s Night! Thank you to Thunder Rosa and Dr. Britt Baker for the (deep breath, this is a mouthful) Unsanctioned Anything Goes Lights Out Match (phew) that headlined AEW’s St. Patrick’s Day Slam on AEW Dynamite. It was a match that will undoubtedly live on as a standout in wrestling history. The whole show, though, was packed from start to finish with excellent wrestling action AND storyline progression. It really seems as if AEW is the (current) winner of the Wednesday Night War.
Meanwhile, on WWE programming.. WrestleMania matches are being announced right and left! But let’s pump the brakes a bit. We’ve got WWE Fastlane this Sunday! In this podcast, we make a point to break down the card, talk about potential winners, and well.. gripe about why Andrade STILL isn’t being featured.
All this, and much more! Be sure to share your #WinnerOfTheWeek with us on all of social media!
Money In The Bank delivered another WWE cinematic feast for the eyes as we saw 12 superstars tear down Titan Towers…with the exception of Vince McMahon’s office…in a bid for a shot at their respective championships. We discuss the winners, the losers, and all of the attempted homicides. We are also talking about Becky’s big announcement on RAW, Sami being stripped of the IC title, MAGA Taker, Edge vs Orton, and more.
Now, before you go, Jared would like to see you in HR.
We laughed. We cried. We drank a lot. . . Virtually, of course.
This year’s WrestleMania is sure to be one we’ll never forget. As with any Mania, it had its forgettable moments, but it also had its moments that will forever be etched into our memories. We don’t really know what the immediate future of pro wrestling will look like, but for now, we’re just rolling with what they’re giving us.
