Annnnd they’re back (and sponsored by Coor’s Banquet, to boot)!  The original idea for episode 3 has been postponed, as the gang is on fire to talk about the newest addition to one of Zach’s (@realzachhiggins) favorite franchises.

That’s right, Syd (@sydneespeaks), Zach and Jack (@JackHeartless) are talking all things Cobra Kai, how it ties back to the original Karate Kid trilogy, and why it worked when so many other reboots failed.

(NOTE: Season 1 will be discussed in detail.  Please watch Cobra Kai on YouTube Red before listening to this episode.  It rules!!)

Halston opens up about how a young wrestling fan from Milwaukee, who was denied the chance to go to wrestling school at 17, came full-circle years later.  With a treasure trove of life lessons, he’s here to bring the party back to pro wrestling…and his story is still being written at an independent show near you!

Opening theme by Lemi and the Captain. Closing theme by Ayumi Nakamura (@ayumi_nakamura).

CJAE 59: My Favorite Feud – The Hart Foundation vs. The British Bulldogs!

Captain Jack (@JackHeartless) is back, and so is My Favorite Feud!  This week, the mastermind behind AndrogynArt, Jesse Ledina (@AndrogynArt) stops in to talk about the Hart Foundation vs. the British Bulldogs, and how their rivalry encapsulates so much of what it meant to be a fan during the golden age of the 1980’s.  From VCR’s to Saturday mornings to LJN’s to DIY belts, this episode’s a total trip in the way-back machine.

Also, we talk about how this era influenced Jesse’s art, especially his upcoming show, Nostalgia 2018: Deja Vu, at Earth-2 Comics in LA on May 11th.

As Mean Gene used to say, “Doncha dare miss it!”
