You can follow Derek on Twitter at Twitter.com/cap_kaveman or email him at Derek@TheSteelCage.com. Until next time, this meeting is adjourned.

Derek and Tim Eat Snacks Ep. 37: Gooey Butter Cake

This week on the DATEScast, Derek makes inaccurate statements about visibility on the Twitter and Tim escapes the heat of the desert to St. Louis, the new snacking capital of our world. But he didn’t come back empty handed. In an effort to continue our 50-Part series, United Cakes of America, Tim brought back this week’s snack and local St Louis delicacy, the Gooey Butter Cake. Does this simple cake live up to it’s name? Find out of this week’s DATES!

BONUS CONTENT If you don’t live in St. Louis and want to make your own Gooey Butter Cake, here is the Agne Family recipe:

Crust: Mix 1 stick butter (melted), 1 egg and 1 box yellow cake mix. Press into 13×9 pan.
Filling: Combine 8oz package cream cheese, 1-pound box of powdered sugar, 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla. Mix with electric mixer until smooth. Pour into crust and top with nuts if desired.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cake is golden brown on top.

Derek and Tim Eat Snacks Ep. 36: Fire and Freeze Sour Patch Kids

This week on the DATEScast, our heroes once again bravely put things in their mouths without knowing what the consequences might be. Even if that snack contains the same heating and cooling elements as your favorite lube. This week, Derek and Tim PER the hell out of Fire and Freeze Sour Patch Kids.

Derek and Tim Eat Snacks Ep. 35: Blue Doritos

This week on the DATEScast, IT’S OUR FIRST EVER CROSSOVER EPISODE! In conjunction with Tim’s whore podcast, Unfunny Nerd Tangent, we are proud to be discussing Jurassic World snacks. We talk about how far behind on current movies Derek is and how much time he spent as a child at Universal Studios. Then, Tim requires us all to hold on to our butts while he introduces this week’s multinational snacks that he had to cross both North American borders to obtain, Blue Jurassic World Doritos from Mexico and Canada. Two unique countries with two unique flavors of movie tie-in corn tortilla chips. Which only leaves one question to be asked…what did the United States do to be left out of the fun?

Derek and Tim Eat Snacks Ep. 34: Vanilla Bean Marshmallow Whip & Peanut Butter Cookie Dough

This week on the DATEScast, Tim’s hipster phase has grown so large that it is encompassing the entire podcast. Slap on some beard oil and grab your favorite flannel shirt because we’re going to an artisanal marshmallow shoppe in Gilbert, Arizona to try this week’s snack, Toasted Mallow Vanilla Bean Marshmallow Whip & Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. Yes, they somehow fit all of those words into a single snack.
